Hello and welcome Jayelle Designs!  All of our unique handbags are created and handmade by Jan Lyons.  Let me tell you just a little bit about how Jayelle came to be.

It all began when I received a beautiful handmade fabric bag as a gift from my husband. Having learned to sew from my Mother as a child, sewing has taken me in many different directions over the years, starting at age seven with little outfits for my dolls and stuffed animals to fashion clothing and home décor.  Of course, that was before getting this beautiful bag! Having sparked my interest I was off and running, learning everything I could to create a bag of my own that would have both exceptional quality and a unique personal style.  I have always had a strong interest in color and texture, which is reflected in the originality of each of my creations.  After many requests from family and friends for bags, followed by much encouragement and support to start a business, here I am…a one-woman custom handbag business and enjoying every aspect of it.  From the selection of beautiful and unique fabrics and trims to putting the final touches on a finished creation, I love it all and feel very fortunate to be able to bring you Jayelle Designs.  We are sure you will enjoy your visit!

All of our bags are made with quality fabrics and trims carefully selected in limited amounts. Most of the fabrics we use are upholstery and home décor fabrics, which by their very nature make our bags sturdy and durable. These fabrics generally come with a protective coating to resist soiling; so gentle spot cleaning is usually all that is necessary.  All of our handbags are interfaced and fully lined with coordinating fabrics.  As all items are individually crafted, the collection is always evolving.  Most of our bags are limited editions and some may even be one-of-a-kind. (Of course, this can be a good thing since you will never see anyone else with your bag!)  Once the fabrics run out the item will be discontinued, but there will always be new and different bags to follow!
